John F. Gerten joined Gerten and Van Valkenburg, PA, in 1965. Mr. Gerten has considerable experience in the areas of real estate, elder law and estate planning. His work with clients in the fields of elder law and estate planning have provided peace of mind and sound guidance to the residents of the Twin Cities area for nearly 50 years. Mr. Gerten believes in working with his clients to best serve their needs in the long term has gained a reputation as an attorney who listens to his clients and works with them to meet their goals. An experienced attorney in matters of wills and trusts, Mr. Gerten works with his clients to understand what they are looking for and diligently explains in simple terms their options and the ramifications of their choices. Having worked in Little Canada for nearly 50 years, Mr. Gerten has become an integral part of his community. He understands probate law and estate administration and works with the nuances of Minnesota law in order to make sure his clients have the best possible outcome. Mr. Gerten's extensive knowledge of Minnesota real estate law makes him an asset to his clients. Mr. Gerten attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he studied chemistry and economics. He earned his B.A. and graduated in 1962. He went on to attend University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, where he earned his LLB in 1965. He was admitted to the Minnesota Bar that same year. In his free time, Mr. Gerten enjoys traveling. He is also an avid history buff. |
